Pumpkin Juice - a healthful raw pumpkin drink!

Pumpkin, though is a common and easily available vegetable, not many of us are used to having it raw. Children, especially may not be excited at the idea of having raw pumpkin. Here’s an easy way to adding pumpkin to their dietary intake. And yes, raw! The otherwise unpalatable raw pumpkin juice is transformed into a yummy drink by adding a little sweetness (of honey) and tanginess (of ginger).
Ingredients
- Pumpkin: 250 gms (peeled and chopped)
- Water: 1 cup or as per desired consistency
- Ginger: ¼ tsp (grated)
- Cinnamon powder: ¼ tsp
- Honey: 1 tsp or as required
Method
- Wash, peel and chop pumpkin into chunks.
- Put in a blender and blend, using little water.
- Now add ginger, cinnamon and honey.
- Add more water, if required to get a smooth consistency.
- Mix well and serve.

- Raw vegetables are a storehouse of vitamins and minerals and therefore a must add to your daily dietary intake.
- Remember not to add salt to your veggie juice else it may end up fermenting in your tummy.
