Lemon grass Tea - refreshing, herbal infusion!

Lemon grass is native to South Asia. It is also called citronella. It looks like grass with long, green blades. It has a nice lemony aroma which lends itself wonderfully to this refreshing cuppa.

Ingredients

  • Lemon grass (fresh/dried): 2 stalks
  • Water: 500 ml
  • Lemon: a slice
  • Honey: 2 tsp (optional)
       

Method

  • Clean and cut the lemongrass into small pieces using scissors.
  • Boil the water and add the stalk pieces.
  • Continue boiling for 5 minutes.
  • Strain the water.
  • Squeeze some lemon into the infusion.
  • Add honey if needed.
       
  • Enjoy this refreshing drink any time during the day!
