Juicing is an effective way to disguise the taste of vegetables that you wouldn't otherwise eat, allowing you to consume vital nutrients.

It is imperative to add green leafy vegetables to your dietary intake. Spinach is our favourite! This recipe combines the goodness of spinach along with carrot, tomato and amla to create a pleasurable, healthy drink! The process used in this recipe is fairly simple and preserves all the nutrients of all the ingredients.

Tomato carrot amla juice is an effective way to disguise the taste of vegetables that you wouldn't otherwise eat, allowing you to consume the vital nutrients.


Ingredients

  • Spinach: 1 bunch
  • Carrots: 2
  • Tomatoes: 2
  • Fresh gooseberry (amla): 1
  • Ginger: a small piece (big coin size)

Method

  • Clean, peel and chop carrots.
  • Clean and chop tomatoes into small pieces.
  • Clean the spinach leaves and chop them into small pieces.
  • Deseed, and chop gooseberry into small pieces.
  • Peel the outer skin of ginger and chop it into small pieces.
  • Mix all the above ingredients in a mixer and blend it nicely to smooth consistency.
  • Pour in a glass and enjoy!

  • Veggies, are loaded with enzymes and high water content. Spinach tomato juice aid in digestion and act as daily dose of vitamins and minerals. Juicing raw vegetables is a tried and tested way to ensure your kids take in their share of raw (even the fussy ones!)
