Peanut and sesame are your economically cheaper nuts. They can be used in myriad ways such as dips, chutneys, and even desserts. Here is a simple under 30 minute recipe for your sweet tooth, which needs no ghee for binding!Nuts are great ways to add a variety of nutritional profile. Healthy oils, natural source of fats, calcium, and even fiber, there is no reason why not add them more. A wide variety of various nuts on a weekly basis, will ensure you are never to worry ‘where is my protein and calcium coming from’!

Ingredients

  • Peanuts: 1 cup
  • Sesame seeds: 1/ 2 cup (roasted)
  • Jaggery: 1/ 2 cup (or per taste)

Start with a small batch.


Method

  • Roast peanuts and sesame seeds separately.
  • Grind them separately.
  • Melt jaggery in a pan with 2 tsp of water and allow it to cook for 5 min to thicken.
  • Add the peanut and sesame powder to the jaggery.
  • Turn off the gas and leave it to cool down slightly for 5 min.
  • While the mix is still warm, make small balls.
  • Roll and cover the balls with some more roasted sesame seeds.
  • Be sure to make balls when the mix is hot otherwise, it will harden and balls cannot be made.

Below is an easier version of the peanut laddoo without sesame seeds. This tastes equally good!.
