Dips add that oomph to your salads - no wonder they are also called ‘dressing’ your veggies! This instant dressing is easy and quick to put together, and very handy when you don't have a pre-prepared dressing or dip in your fridge.This lemon Jaggery dip is so versatile, it goes perfectly with whatever kind of salad you got to fix.So, go ahead and top your favourite combo of veggies with this lip-smacking dip!


Ingredients

  • Lemon Juice: 2 tbsp
  • Jaggery Powder: 1 tbsp
  • Red chili flakes: ½ tbsp
  • Basil-Oregano powder: 1 tsp (optional)
  • Rock salt to taste

Method

  • Take the lemon juice, Jaggery Powder, red chilli flakes, basil-oregano powder and salt in a bowl.
  • Mix well with spoon.
  • Taste test - add more Jaggery Powder if you prefer sweet, or more lemon juice if you prefer sour.
  • Store in a glass bottle.
  • Refrigerate.
  • Pour over a salad just before serving.

You can make this dip in a larger batch and store in fridge for easily upto a week.


Eating Guide:

This is a great saviour to make otherwise dull salads appealing and yummy! Could be prepared easily when you need to put together a salad in haste. Goes well with any combo of veggies! We use this with green leafy salads, or carrot and other winter veggie based salads. It can lift up even a sprouts salads.
