Green Coriander Mint Chutney - A Must Have For Your Gut Health

Green Chutney is an indispensable part of the Indian snack repertoire. The green chutney is a simple and easy recipe that has no calorie-laden ingredients like sugar. Herbs such as coriander and mint, are a must for our natural gut health. In our home, it is often used to spice up an otherwise bland curry or a salad.You can make a batch of this chutney and store it in the refrigerator, to enjoy anytime.
Ingredients
- Coriander (Dhaniya): 2 cups
- Mint (Pudina): 1 cup
- Garlic: 2-3 pods
- Green chillies: 2 (as per taste)
- Lemon juice: 1 qty (as per taste) or Amla – 1 qty
- Jaggery powder: 1 tsp
- Sendha Namak: to taste
- Water – 1/4th glass
Method
- Wash the coriander and mint well.
- Don’t discard the coriander stalk, use it too (remove roots and wash well before storing).
- Add all ingredients into a mixie. Grind well.
- Don’t add too much water; just a bit to churn.
Easy peasy! Can be stored in fridge for 3-4 days.
Eating Guide:
Food group: Veggies (Herbs)
Good to combine with other food groups including non veg (except fruits).
Adjust the chillie so that children also lap it up.
Herb leaves such as mint and dhaniya are great additions to kids meals for their gut health.
