Spreads are a great way to liven up your rolls or sandwiches. However, many of the store-bought pastes have very little nuts and more of sugar and oil. You can make a healthier, tasty alternative at home with quality ingredients and no preservatives.
Ingredients
- Cashews:3 small cups
- Dates paste:1 small cup
- Natural vanilla flavor:2 tsp
- A pinch of salt
- Cacao powder:½ cup
Method
- Blend everything to a smooth paste
- Stays good for 5 days or so in the fridge, if your kids don’t finish it first!
Eating Guide:
- Food group: Nuts
- Enjoy with roti rollups or as a sandwich spread, with pancakes or even as a cupcake topping.
