Carrot, Tomato & Celery Juice - help your body detoxify
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: No Cooking Involved
Servings: 2-3 Servings

Juicing your vegetables is a wonderful way of adding raw to your daily intake. Carrot, tomato and celery juice is a very basic, nutrient dense and flavourful juice. Celery is a great detoxifier, and tomatoes, as well as carrots, add lots of nutrients with few calories.

Try this simple, under 20 min recipe using commonly available ingredients and sip your way to health!

Ingredients

  • Tomatoes: 2-3 (big)
  • Carrots: 2 (big)
  • Celery Stalk: a bunch
  • Roasted cumin seeds powder: 2 tsps
  • Water: as per desired consistency

Method

  • Clean all the veggies in freshwater.
  • Chop the tomatoes and the carrots into fine pieces.
  • Chop both the stem and the leaves of the celery stalk.
  • Mix all the above ingredients in a mixer and blend it nicely to smooth consistency.
  • Use a strainer and filter the juice to remove any bumps.
  • Add water for consistency.
  • Add roasted cumin seeds powder and serve.

Eating Guide

  • Food Group: Vegetables (Raw)
  • Vegetables, particularly raw vegetable not only have a high nutritional quotient, they are rich in fibre and water content, and are easy for your stomach to digest. They also help your body get the enzymes that otherwise get destroyed in the process of cooking.
  • Juices can be had in morning or evenings too. While vegetables can be mixed with most food groups (except fruits), usually juices are best consumed mid morning or in evening.
  • It's a great idea NOT to add salt at all to your veg juice, else it will end up fermenting in your stomach.
