Cabbage Juice - a glass full of natural goodness

Cabbage - this modest vegetable is not only easily available when in season, but it is also extremely versatile. From cooked dishes to salads, cabbage is used in many forms and lends a distinct flavour and/or texture each time. Here’s a quick recipe to juice cabbage and make the most of its health benefits by consuming it raw. Cabbage is rich in Vitamin K & C and is known to help aid digestion.
Ingredients
- Cabbage: 1 (small size)
- Lemon juice: as per taste
- Black pepper: a pinch
- Water: as required
Method
- Wash and chop the cabbage finely.
- Add chopped cabbage in a mixer, along with some water and blend it.
- Blend at slow speed, till the water has a green tint with noticeable chunks of cabbage still floating around.
- Add more water if required and blend again at high speed. You should still have a few small pieces of cabbage floating around.
- Add lemon juice and black pepper, mix well.
- Serve it fresh!
Wellcure Tips:
- Do not churn the mixture at high speed for very long - you don't want to end up getting a paste or a puree!
- You may strain the final mixture for kids to avoid fuss around cabbage pieces.
- Best to use cabbage only when in season
