Dressings are a great way to add creaminess, flavour and texture to salads. This quick to-do, homemade avocado dressing adds the goodness of avocados minus the preservatives, chemicals and colours added in the commercially available options.
Ingredients
- Avocado: 1 (pulp only)
- Garlic clove: 1-2
- Coriander leaves: 1/2 cup
- Green chilli: 1
- Lemon juice: 1 lemon (per taste)
- Cumin powder: 1 tsp
- Rock salt and pepper: to taste
- Water: as required
Method
- Add all the ingredients for the Avocado dressing in a blender.
- Blend well & add a little water to make it smooth and creamy.
Eating Guide:
- Food Group: Fruit & vegetables
- Avocado is an exception to the thumb rule of not mixing fruits with vegetables. It gets easily digested along with whatever food category it is being used with.
- Great way to add creaminess to salads.
- Can be had with cooked meals as well.
